The last week of July, I went to New York for the RITA Awards Ceremony at the Romance Writers of America Conference. The RITA Award is the highest honor a romance novel can receive, and just being nominated was humbling and so exciting. Home on Huckleberry Hill was my book that was nominated. Though I didn’t win, I had a wonderful experience in New York. Here are some highlights.
A lovely lunch with some other Amish authors. I’m going to miss a few, but from upper left: Me, Dana Lynn, Cate Nolan, Debby Guisti, Amy Clipston, Amy’s mom, Marta Perry, Shelley Shepard Gray, (A very lovely lady–can’t remember her name), Patricia Davids, Patricia’s granddaughter.
Me with two of the other RITA finalists and two Golden Heart finalists: Me, Lenora Worth, Kellie Parker, Martha Hutchens, Suzanne Dietze.
Book signing with Rachel J. Good, Me, Geri Krotow, Shelley Shepard Gray, and Patricia Davids.
