This month in my “Year of Charity,” I am going to study and explore the concept of “Charity is not easily provoked.”
In its most basic terms, being provoked means to get angry. And I seem to get angry more now than I ever used to. I can’t decide if it’s because I’m getting older and crankier or if there’s just more in this world to be angry about or if I’m too tired to be patient and long-suffering. I’m not sure, but this month, I’m going to try to figure out why I get angry and what I can do to be a better person and incorporate this aspect of charity into my life more fully.
Here are a few wonderful quotes about charity. I’m going to use them as a springboard for studying anger and its relationship to charity this month.
I have found this next one to be absolutely true. And I have experienced this very thing several times. When will I ever learn?
I would love to hear your thoughts on “Charity is not easily provoked.”
